Created in March, 2013, Rags Music was started as a place where I could write freely about music I enjoy, regardless of genre or popularity. I love music and want people to know about the music I love, it was really that simple. In over 10 years, I’ve been brought closer to my local music community, met and talked to a variety of artists from all walks of life.

The Lytics blew my face off at the 2010 installment of the Rifflandia festival and when I found out they were returning to Victoria in October 2012 I jumped at the chance to talk with them. After a stellar, but poorly attended show at Felicita's we sat down in the basement of the Martlet office for a late night about their latest record They Told Me, being from Winnipeg and a surprising love of James Taylor.
